Triumphs of alliteration aside, this fantastic expression features Kentucky bourbon infused with actual, full-on, real bourbon biscuits, and blended with dark chocolate and vanilla to accentuate those familiar flavours from the eponymous biscuit. Wonderfully satisfying sipped neat, and more than capable of putting a chocolatey twist on classic cocktails, like an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. Nose: Earthy vanilla and runny caramel, with a core of chocolate ganache underneath. There's still plenty of oaky spices and buttery notes from the bourbon coming through.
Palate: Cacao, another helping of authentic vanilla, a hint of orange developing shortly joined by malt and more chocolate.
Finish: Bourbon biscuit sweetness on the finish, with a touch of buttered corn and toasted oak.
Overall: There's clearly a focus on the chocolatey, biscuity notes, but the bourbon's character is never obscured and remains integral to the fantastic flavour profile.
