Spier's Signature Pinotage is sweet, juicy, complex and concentrated. The grapes for Spier's Pinotage were hand-picked from selected blocks in the Darling, Durbanville and Paarl regions within the Western Cape. Here, sunny days, cool nights and refreshing sea breezes ensure that the grapes ripen perfectly. Twenty percent of the wine was matured in French oak barrels for 8-10 months to add further complexity.
Mouth-watering flavours of ripe cherries and plums, with notes of tobacco leaf and spicy oak. A good structured palate with sweet juicy fruit and a long finish.
